It’s not that I’m not a big fan of Big Bang Theory (although I’m not). It’s not that I don’t like Jim Parsons (although I don’t). It’s not that there are about 15 comedy series I’d rather spend my time watching than the show Parsons works on (although there are).
It’s that Steve Carell didn’t get the win that he so rightfully deserved. To play Michael Scott brilliantly for 7 seasons and to never win an Emmy is downright ridiculous. I know some people don’t like the character of Michael Scott, and I’ll be the first to tell you that he was way too cartoon-ish in seasons 5 and 6, but to honestly believe that Jim Parsons should have won over Steve Carell is just plain wrong.
And that’s not even bringing up the fact the apparently Community doesn’t exist when it comes time for Emmy nominations to be announced. If you don’t think Danny Pudi deserves at least a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, then you are a damn fool.
My name is Paul Castillo and I am a comedy snob. I do not like the Emmy Awards.
Steve Carell was robbed.
The end.
