This is one of the most beautiful albums I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. It’s great, and there’s really not much else I can say about it that hasn’t been said a million times over by websites/magazines like Pitchfork or The A.V. Club or Spin. The melodies, the lyrics, the album’s flow — everything is amazing. I’m already pretty behind on my 300 movies/albums/books list, so I’m probably going to stop doing individual posts for each new thing I get through. But Illinois was so good, I had to give it its own post. It’s one of my favorite albums of all time.
